Program Specifications

purchased online at usacycling.org. For more detailed descriptions of classes, please visit lavelodrome.org.
ADT Event Center Club
Anyone signing The Home Depot Center release in 2007 will automatically become
members of the ADT Event Center club. Members have neither expressed nor
assumed rights nor privileges related to the club and the facility. However,
members [all track users] are responsible for checking in before any ride on
the track. Members are also responsible for following all of the facility's
rules and policies.
First Ride (a fun one-time try at riding the velodrome)
For those excited about the track and who simply have to try it once, we offer this brief and exciting experience. Riders will get some safety and skill
instruction and then, get to ride on the track. It is recommended that you
wear sports clothes. Each ride costs $15.
Intro Class (an introductory course in riding and training on the
ADTEC)
This is a series of classes over four weeks. The objective is to instill in
riders safe riding skills, etiquette, and regulations. These will be enjoyable
and engaging sessions showing people how to have fun on the track. Graduates
of riding class will be certified to participate in programs offered at the ADT
Event Center. Intro Class costs $225.
Accelerated Class (an orientation for experienced track
riders)
This session helps riders get used to the nuances of the ADT Event Center, by
adapting their existing skills to this facility. Rules, safety, and etiquette
are stressed. Cost for the Accelerated Class is $65.
Racing School (the details of track racing)
Racing School is a series of lessons and training races. Riders will learn
skills, strategies and tactics that take most riders years to acquire. This is
a fun and entertaining school that includes video, discussions, and lots of
riding. Cost is $20 per Racing School session.
Triathlon/TT Bike Split Session
This is an opportunity to train using the velodrome with your own Tri
or TT bike. Intervals, Tempo Training, Transitions and other skills will be
emphasized in this challenging workout. These sessions are guaranteed to
improve bike split for triathletes, as well as time-trial time.
Pre-reservation is recommended, as sessions are limited to 12 athletes per
session. Cost is $20 per session.
Roger's Sessions
Roger's Sessions are organized workouts conducted on the track for any
certified riders. Riders receive coaching and guidance throughout the
session. Coaches are all expert track and road specialists (some former
Olympic Team coaches). A series of these training sessions will help riders
obtain specific goals and accelerate their fitness. Roger's Sessions are
adaptable to both competitors and riders interested in fitness only.
Stationary bikes are setup for those interested in spinning their wheels rather
than riding on the track. These stationary bike sessions are conducted
simultaneous to the track workouts. The sessions cost $20 per session or $160
for 10 sessions.
Open Training
This is the opportunity for any USA Cycling Licensed Cat 2 track rider or
certified rider to use the track at their own discretion (following the general
ADT Event Center track regulations). ADT Event Center staff governs open
training, but no organized guidance is offered.
Elite Training
Elite Training is time reserved for professional riders, category 1 riders, and
other riders with elite skills and professional etiquette, whom are approved by
the track management. This is critical track time for these riders to train
and prepare for international and professional competition.
